The concept for Woodside Ridge Caravan Park originated in 2007 and after more than a years hard work planning consent was eventually granted by Durham County Council in 2008; at this time all we had was a field of barley and lots of enthusiasm. Stage 1 of the development to change from field to Caravan Park took 3 years and in March 2011 we finally opened to the public albeit with limited facilities. Another 4 years of development work, restricted mostly to our 7 week closed period and we had all of the facilities you'd expect, but development is a continuing process with improvements taking place each and every year.
Woodside Ridge Caravan Park is owned and run by 2 generations of the Wren family with everyone taking an active part in all aspects of the business.
